Massagers and Massage Accessories
How does a massager give deep pressure input?
Firm, sustained pressure on muscles and joints feeds the proprioceptive system, the sense that tells the brain where the body is and how hard it is working. Many autistic people describe that input as the thing that settles them.
Light, glancing touch is usually the harder kind to tolerate, while deep and predictable pressure is not. Occupational therapists build that distinction into daily plans, and a massager lets an older teenager or an adult apply it themselves, at a volume and duration they choose.
Our range covers percussion massage guns with interchangeable heads, foot massagers, full-spine and pressure-activated seat cushions, knitted memory foam neck pillows, a tapping shoulder shawl and a low-frequency wrist device for winding down at night. Some of our customers use a seat cushion in the car before an appointment.
