Ordering for a classroom is not the same as ordering for one child. You are buying in volume, on someone else's sign-off, against a budget that has to last the term. This page sets out how schools order from us, and how the range is grouped for classroom use.
Purchase orders and invoicing
We accept school purchase orders. You do not need a credit card at the point of ordering.
- Email your purchase order, or a list of what you need, to support@theautismshop.com.au.
- We reply with a formal quote showing item prices, totals and stock availability.
- Once your business manager approves it, we invoice the school and dispatch the order.
- Payment terms are 30 days from invoice date.
If your school uses a procurement portal or needs us set up as a supplier first, tell us in your first email and we will send through whatever paperwork your finance office asks for.
Bulk quotes
Ordering ten or more of the same item, or fitting out a whole sensory space? Send us the list and we will quote it properly rather than have you add items one at a time. Include your school name, the delivery address and the date you need it by.
Classroom essentials, by what you are trying to do
Grouped by the job rather than the product category, because that is usually how the need arrives.
Getting through transitions
Changeovers between lessons, packing up, moving to the next room. Visual countdowns make the end of a task something a student can see coming rather than something that arrives without warning.
Staying settled during instruction
For students who listen better with something in their hands. Discreet options that work at a desk without pulling the room's attention.
Fidget Toys · Resistance and Weighted Products
Movement breaks and adjusted PE
Short circuits before a literacy block, or equipment for fundamental movement skills sessions where standard gear does not suit every student.
Balance · Gross Motor and Physiotherapy Supports
Fine motor and handwriting support
Pencil grips by the box, plus the threading, lacing and hand-strength equipment that builds the muscles handwriting depends on.
Grip and Hand Strength · Coordination and Lacing
Low-demand ways into a topic
Art materials and thinking games for students who will show you what they know long before they will write it down.
Art Materials · Thinking Skills
Structured social and turn-taking practice
Games with a visible end point, where the rules carry the demand instead of the conversation.
Setting up a sensory or calm space
Lighting you can control, quiet corners, and equipment for a room a student can go to early rather than after things have escalated.
Sensory - Visual · Headphones and Earphones · Hammocks, Swings and Tents
Delivery to schools
Free tracked shipping to any Australian address, including school addresses, with no minimum order. If your order needs to arrive before a particular date, say so when you request the quote and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
Deliveries during term holidays are worth planning around. If the office is closed, give us an alternative address or a date to hold the dispatch until.
